The absolute number of evos sold is so small that I don't think any country would qualify for the "economy of scale" concept.

Why don't you call a dealer in US and ask (there are some present on this forum). I don't think an average person would know the price of a new trnasmission, especially for a new car. It's the people who have to know (us) will be the primary source of this information on the forum. Or you can find a grey supplier of parts from US in your coutry and check the final price in UK.

Just heard of another diff that bit the dust here in Russia. USDM car also.
That makes it 5 cases in total. Another case is suspected on evoxforums, should be clear on saturday. That sucks (((

Im in contact now with the technical manager for mitsubishi UK...

Im composing a list of cars which have failed under the same fault as mine...

He has requested any info I can get on said cars, so if you dont mind giving me your chassis numbers, mileage @ time of breakage, full car details model etc

I will be submitting the info too him, so it wont be going anywhere it shouldnt...

MIGHT even get a free mitsi badge for our troubles??

Thanks

Mark

If you want to gather all information, then, I think, you should do a new thread which whould summarize all cases of broken diffs with pics and links to the relevant threads or other forums.
Neither of our existing threads are good for this purpose and their titles are not informative. I will support this initiative and try and get the info for all Russian instances that I come across.

I think there's a motor and tranny for sale on the private sale on this forum, check towards the bottom. I think his name is rpmsteve. Best of luck.

NVM

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...anny-sale.html

He sold the tranny.

I would PM some of the shop owners here, like xtremeboost TTP AMS and see if they can find you a tranny from a wreck car, or maybe even get you the actual tranny faster.

P.S. I have not dealt with any of those guys, so if something goes bad dont blame me please. If you want PM your vin i'll call my dealer and have them give me a price and ETA on arrival. They wont ship it, but if you can arrange shipping i would go pick the part up for you. Let me know.

That's my dealer, if you want call them yourself and ask, you will need your vin to look up the part.

I know where an evo X gsr drivetrain is located, but they sure as hell wouldn't ship to the UK, and probably not US.
