i did search but did not get the answer i was looking for ,so i am asking the experienced for advise.... i am looking at testpipes but do not want a cel. which ones do not throw a cell and what can i do to make one not throw a cel?
i have been looking at ams,ets,and ur.

 

I had the Ultimate Racing Resonated.
It did not throw a CEL.

any sound changes with the ur resonated pipe? when i was tuned i was told i had some restiction up top which ams said could be the cat since they see this issue with all catted evox's. i was told a test pipe or high flow cat would help the issue. dp was also thrown into the mix as a restiction.

Will the AMS one throw any CEL? I wanna order it this coming up week

 

You will potential get CEL with almost any type of test pipes without an type of spacer/o2 fouler on it. Some will get CEL very early and some will not. Hell even with a spacer, you can potential get CEL cause its not stock.

To prevent CEL you can get a spacer of some sort. the 90 bend will be the best bet to prevent CEL. I have it and i have yet to get CEL. I know alot of VW, audi guy who run 90 spacers. They call them "Wayne Angle Block".

AMS's test pipe does throw a CEL. I have 2 anti-foulers installed and still throws CEL.

 

UR test pipe does not throw a code and an awesome pipe....

as long as there is an o2 extention on the test pipe, you should be ok. there are several companies that sell them. just check their sites or call and ask....

 

Add another for the ultimate racing test pipes. I have the mini muffler test pipe. Noise has the Resonated test pipe. Neither will throw a CEL, both are louder than stock, both make power.

AMS is correct. catted X's have to be tuned softer up top the keep the knock activity down. Also have to be tuned richer to keep the cat from dying.

i have the speed ciruit one with cel 4 of them so far i keep reflashing and it come back and its the 02 cel
