1/8 tap on intake manifold

Is there a place to add a 1/8 NPT size MAF sensor on the intake manifold?

Electronic Boost gauge sensor?

I sure you can use a split T connector from one of the fittings already present in the manifold.

Yes, I know that part. I want to screw in the MAP senseor sort of like what I have done with and oil pressure reader on my old evo 9. I already have the T from the blow off valve. =)

It's a MAP sensor, not MAF.

You can always make a small external housing for it using pipe fittings, including a 1/8 or 1/4 in barb you can hook up to a T-ed vacuum/boost line.

Yea, I mistyped MAP...Brain fart.

I already have my MAP sensor T-ed off, so that was not my question. I also know that I can weld a bung onto my intercooler pipe and connect the MAP sensor.

What I want to know: Is there a provision on the intake manifold itself that has a screw already in place that can be removed, that is 1/8 in size that I can use to mount the MAP sensor there.

I referenced the oil gully on the 4G63, because I was able to directly hook up a pressure sensor there for my oil pressure gauge by removing the hex screw on the head.

Maybe there is no provision, maybe there is, I am just checking to see if there is or if anyone has on the 4B11.

side note - WarmAndSCSI, did you get my PM?

Nope.

Looking for a provision on the Intake Manifold that is already taped from the factory and already has a hex bolt in it to hook up my map sensor directly.

I don't think there is one, looking at the FSM. The IAT sensor does have a tapped hole, though. Obviously you can't just get rid of it. Hmm, well, you can always tap your own. There are many thick areas on the intake that would work well.

Nice, I was also looking at the FSM. I was really just looking to remove possible ares of leakage, I guess for now I will keep it like this until I have to take of the manifold to have it ported someday.

Thanks for the responses.
