Cam Install: Anyone checked / changed buckets?

So,

Cosworth cam install is under way... Just wanted to check with the folks that have installed cams already and find out if you checked clearances during / after cam install and if you needed to change any of the buckets (the buck is also the shim on the X, as in they have 30 or so different thickness buckets to choose from) as a result??

I asked the same question a while back ago but never got an answer. I would say if they are not within those limits change them. I think the limit is between .014 - .015. If you need the limits for sure I can look them up when I get home. Each bucket will run you 15.00 each.

You almost always have to change at least a few. Usually on most cars I end up buying 8-10 new buckets to get them all perfect.

Yeah, thanks for the feedback guys. I had already decided to check them but wanted to see how many people did cams without checking them

I hope the lash checks out without having to change any, but I doubt it.

I've got the shop manual already, but thanks for the offer.
