Question ATC Clutch Question...

Hi guys, to make a long story short, my OEM clutch is burned... after 5000 KM... so, mitsu don't want to put it under warenty beacause the car make too much power lol !

so i went for the ACT clutch :

http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...udl584b3tc0cr6

Is there anything i should know ? should i change the master cylinder as well ? i'm curently making about 325 WHP and don't plan to go over 400 WHP...

( curently running stage 1 map with AEM intake and 91 octane GSR USDM )

plan to run stage 2 as soon as i can afford the turboback....

any help with comments and suggestions would be appreciate !

Myself and a friend of mine are running the act hd clutch. The pedal is just a tad stiffer than stock. I'm at 330hp 375tq and it's holding up just fine. Others might recommend a stronger clutch but if you're don't plan on making too much power im sure you'll be fine. Everyone will recommend (my self included) changing out the cylinder or at least getting the ams ring though..... i've yet to see one person with an act HD clutch brake the cylinder. I'm not saying it cant happen but the HD clutch only slightly increases the pressure.

I have the XTSS, IMHO it is better then the HDSS which I had on my VIII. Pedal is easy to get used to but man it grabs gobs.

If you never launched the car and are only running Stage 1, how the hell did you burn through your clutch at only 3k miles?

I'm at 17k miles with a ton more power than Stage 1 and still on stocker.

Yeah, i know... done a bit of drifting, never launched and feel i never been hard with the clutch... but this oem clutch is the weak point of what is going to be a ****ing nice car with the new after market clutch...

maybe i drove it more agressive then you... but as i said, i've never been hard on the clutch...

my clutch was dying already at 15,000 miles and I RARELY launch the car. Took it out and the disc was almost gone. Keep in mind have FP Red and supporting mods so that didn't help with the wear.
