Forge bov (rs)

Guys,

I have a forge recirculating bov on my 2010 gsr x.

I have stutter in 5th or in any gear under acceleration when I am below the rpm target of 2500 rpm.

Mike @ AWD told me to experiment a little with the +/- setting dial.

So, without further adieu, should i go clockwise or counter-clockwise to start out with? I know this is a total newb question, but I am not a tuner. I do not want to damage anything without asking questions first before I tinker.

I am expecting massive flaming for the FORGE product. I am also expecting the 3 port guys to diss me too. Let me hear your honest opnions.

I appreciate you having a look and reading this.

John

Turn to softest setting to decrease that stutter... then try turning it tighter for more response.

I'm surprised you don't throw a code with it... But I think that is due to the tune from Mike disabling the DTC's...

ok, i turned this thing one turn out and took a pass in 5th gear...a total of 8 times. now i am a full 8 turns out, to its softest setting, and i still get some stutter in 5th...but not as bad when it was 8 turns in...i guess its the BOV and the X?

Every BOV does this... it the change from vac to boost conditions... best BOV for throttle modulation is the stocker or a upgraded stocker like WORK, TOMEI, Cato..

should i go 8 turns back in, where the tuner originally had it? is there anything bad with being on the softest setting now vs where it was previously?

No it dosent matter... use which ever setting you like best... it has nothing to do with how much boost it holds...
