single outlet catback exhausts

i know some of you are substance over looks, but imo the single outlet catbacks are very odd looking. were they designed this way for some purpose? i think they look too boyracerish on the EVO X. on older EVOs they look great but just not my cup of tea for the EVO X. this is my opinion only.

They are meant for better exhaust flow.

I almost like the singles more myself. Except when theyre massively oversized and sitting at a really awkward angle.

Thats pretty much how Ive always felt. Theres no reason to have dual with 1 header.

I like the looks of both... but running single would make more power I believe... I mean come on, like stated above... we're not V8s. Running dual on a 4 banger is kind a silly.

I keep going back and forth. I can handle the single, but I hate that gaping hole where the dual used to be. Wish there was a way to make that look better.

I know for sure the next exhaust i'm getting is going to be the CP-E, I just can't decide dual or single. And if I go with single do I want a resonator... ugh decisions decisions.

it also seems like the single outlet ones are hanging lower than the dual ones. therefore, maybe more likely will scrape over a speed bump.

I think that just depends who makes it. CP-E uses the exact same routing between both exhausts. Supposedly they tried to follow the stock routing as close as possible.

I think the single exit exhausts look better on vehicles that are wingless IMO. The dual exit does look more appropriate given the styling of the rear end of the car and how large the vehicle is in comparison to previous models.

Single exhaust would look good on a rear bumper with just 1 cutout for single exhaust.

I prefer the single exit. To me, the double-exit is more akin to like "crappy" cars, that put on dual exhausts to look mean or something.

I don't know what car it was, but some car used to actually not have a pipe going from one of the tailpipes back up to the motor; it was 100% show. Always amused me.
