Downpipe Recommendations

i currently have a buscher racing bullet cat back exhaust and a cobb accessport running stage 1 93:

what downpipe do y'all recommend so i can do a stage 2 tune?

I am thinking:

Cobb
Perrin
or Ultimate racing

Or is buscher racing's tune/setup the way to go??

would prefer the car to not be "too" loud and don't want the raw fuel smell i had in my catless dp wrx's

any input is greatly appreciated!

Are you talking about just a downpipe or testpipe / HFC? If you are going to do the DP, get an O2/DP like AMS, Rexpeed, etc... just getting a DP without the O2 is a waste (from what I have read). If you are asking about testpipe/HFC, I have the UR HFC which seems pretty quiet and I never smell any fuel.

Only way to get what you want is with a HFC. A downpipe does not exist that is "not too loud" and does not have the "raw fuel smell."

Also, downpipes have been discussed many times in this section. Do a search and read through those threads...there really isn't any new news that isn't already covered there.

I am currently running stage 2 with only a cat-back and HFC. No problems and had this set-up for about 6k miles.

I'm biased towards ETS parts, but since they dont sell a DP with a HFC, Im thinking UR DP is your best bet. (problem is their welds arent so kosher)

i went with megan and it did a great job for me.

But if you already have a BR exhaust system then stay with them and get your DP through them.

A Cobb Stage 2 requires a "Turbo Back Exhaust". Starting at the turbo here is what you should do: (1) AMS O2/DP (2) Cobb High Flow Cat (3) Cobb, AMS or Buschur cat-back exhaust.

Edit: just noticed you already have # 3, so scratch that.
