Angry Damn clutch master cylinder broke today

So I was leaving my house today and got about a mile down the road and POP!!! The damn thing gave way. I was sooooo pissed. No clutch pedal resistance at all just free movement. No gear transition. Fluid leaking from the lower driverside firewall area right out of the cmc housing. I had to push the car a whole freaking mile back to my house. That **** sucked..lol...On the bright side of the day I contacted jeremy at South Side Performance and he was a HUGE help. He answered all my questions and I got my order in for the SSP clutch master cylinder upgrade which should be here in a couple days.

Aftermarket ACT extreme disk. Had it on the car for about 3000 miles.

Interesting, how would you say your driving style is? what mods do you have?

I had an ACT in my 2000 celica, never again. It went out after 3k miles and that was with normal driving.

That SSP master cylinder upgrade is diesel. I don't think anything can brake that thing.

The clutch master cylinder in our cars just suck, not so much the ACT clutch.

even with an exedy the resulting blown master cylinder would not change. any clutch/pressure plate upgrades should be accompanied by AT LEAST an AMS cylinder ring (if you're on a budget) or an SSP (if you got the spare change).

whose bright idea was it to make the master cylinder plastic...

I have the Exedy Stage 2 HD Clucth and my CMC broke. The stock CMC is weak. The SSP Upgraded willl diffently not break, so you wont have to worry about replacing it again.

how is the SSP clutch master working for you? did you have to replace the seal a few times? has it been working perfectly for you since the install? brake fluid turning grayish?

Why would the fluid turn grayish? The SSP CMC is made of billet aluminum and the lines are braided stainless.
