What is the difference?
I am looking at a resonated Cat back CP-E exhaust. What i am having troubles with is cat or test pipe. If the exhaust does have a resonator what would the sound difference be? I don't want loud and obvious. Thanks for the help. I tried in Youtube but can't tell from videos any difference.
Usually a resonator will make it slightly quieter. If you are looking to stay away from the loud side get the resonated. You will be thankful at highway speeds.
Where you asking if you should go with a high flow cat or a test pipe?

Yes, which would be quieter? Like i said i have listened to sound cllips. Most dont say with or with out cat or test pipe. My Audi was resonated, but it also had a high flo cat. The Audi 's cat was right after the turbo. I alos know that a non resonated exhaust with test pipe is raspy, which i do not want.
Using a high flow cat will be quieter than going with the test pipe. When I swapped out my factory cat for a test pipe I did notice it was deeper and slightly louder. The style of exhaust really dictates the sound.
