Based on a typical AWD manual vehicle drivetrain loss of roughly 20% thats about 412bhp

Stock cars come with 291bhp and dyno around 230whp...so I don't see why hitting around 330whp wouldn't be damn close to 400bhp.

See now there you go giving me conflicting thoughts!

You recommend a smaller (probably green) turbo for Auto X. But you recommend a Red for me even though mine will be strictly DD...

Auto X is different from dd though....on the street you won't notice any lag really, I am not worried about lag on the black on the street, so the red shouldn't be a worry.

You need to just ride in a red powered car i think, lol, then you will just buy one.

Joey on EvoX forum auto x's the red, so you could do it with that if you know how to use it, but you don't need that much power for auto x.

Honestly, for an auto x car, id say stay stock turbo.

When I first installed the red, I noticed huge lag. Then after I drove it around, I re-learned where to shift and now it has virtually 0 lag. If you rode in my car, you would think I have a stock turbo... well, until we hit 4500 RPM. Then you will be grabbing for something to hold on to and hoping I don't keep it floored after I shift.

Gearing ftw Like you said, its all about shifting and keeping it in the right rpm band. Like I have been saying, Lag is overrated and its hard to tell that kind of stuff on the street.

We compared data from an STI and my Evo just to see the acceleration points and the STI was romping me off of tight corners through the cones, then my car would come on strong on open sections. It was easily out accelerating me in those slow zones and I make a lot more power than the car we compared against. Hard to beat them off the corner when they have less weight, shorter gearing, more displacement, and a smaller turbo. Good thing they handle like ****

so the FP Green and Red are both the same price but different size turbos? for a DD with some track time, and auto crossing which turbo would be better? and is it worth getting the 18PSI WA? also when upgrading the turbo i know you have to upragade the fuel system other than the injectors do you have to do the fuel pump? fuel rails? fuel regulator?

im new to turbos and looking to keep the car running great for years. my first Goal is 400hp (not 400whp but 400bhp) but i know im going to want a little more later on so i know i'll need to upgrade the turbo
