From what I have been reading, if you run a boost test it is recommended that you plug the boost line off since it will leak there if not. Is that why boost tapers so much on them?

On a second note. I had bought the Hallman Pro (not the one with the stiffer spring) and i'm running 26-28 lbs is the stiffer spring needed? Will it hold boost better with it or would a Forge do better?

No, it is a tiny tiny pinhole, such little air can escape it won't affect anything. Just needs to be covered during a test so you can hear other 'real' leaks.

MBC bleeds off less air than stock or a 3-port.

Sort of... the stock or 3 ports are 100% off during a pressure test, so they are bleeding nothing. If they do bleed, then they are broken.

I thought about giving the forge a try, but i'm not finished doubling all of the clamps on everything, I got it to hold 1.5 more lbs up top with what I have done so far, so i'll see how it is once I get the rest of them done. I'm pretty sure i'm just going to go with the gm 3 port. Is there a particular one I need to get? Or are all of them the same? Will the connecter connect to the OE one on the X?

The Hallman is a good MBC, definitely better than a Forge.

Stock solenoids are 2-ports, not 3; but yes you are correct in that they are closed when unpowered.

+1 but I wouldn't say it works any better than a Joe-P or even an old-school hallman. I've just heard and seen a lot of 'meh' with the Forge stuff.

Yup they have to have that little hole, otherwise your waste gate would not completely shut.

He said "the stock or 3 ports".
