Some Advice if looking at Rexpeed DP & TP

I have the Rexpeed Test pipe and downpipe installed on my X, one of the things that I did not realize when I bought the DP was that it bolts directly to the back of the turbo, so its a very tight job installing. I have read quite a few posts on here where one bolt on that hold the stock DP on has broken off with quite a few people. This as well happened to me, this made the install a 8hr job vs. what is should have been which was 2hrs.

The TP was was a breeze it install just a direct fitment to the rest of the stock exhaust. Just beware of taking the bolts off for the downpipe cause it can bite you in the butt.

The mods I had after the TP and DP install was also a AEM intake and Turbo smart BOV ( hybrid) and got a o2 code after about 15miles. The code went on and off with me so no biggie however, don't run a set up like described here for too long, I recently threw a lean code due to not having a custom tune to compensate for my mods.

Again just wanted to give a heads up to people who may be looking at the Rexpeed DP and TP, both are top quality and love them both just wanted to throw in some install points about the DP and the bolt issue.

Sorry for no pictures but really aren't needed its truly take off the stock and direct fitment for the Rexpeed pipes. Also rexpeed have a lifetime warranty on the pipes so if they ever were to crack you get a replacement for nothing, they have been great to deal with and have good customer service so keep those guys in mind.

God Bless

Same with me. I broke off one of the top bolts, I had to take off
the whole exhaust manifold and turbo just to drill out the broken stud. Well worthed it , mine is mated with ultimate racing straight pipe. No O2 check engine light for me.

Yep the exact same bolt I believe that I broke off. Thankfully we were able to get it drilled out from below but they may be why it took longer, we kept snapping drill bits too haha.
