Could the OP confirm which Buschur he used? I'm shopping for a quiet CB myself and was leaning toward the Crossflow until I read your post.
This is what I have...

I understand this is the newer system and their previous is the one that looked like the stock system.

Give the Manaflow time..it wil get louder.

The Magnaflow will get louder as the fiberglass packing starts to deteriorate. Give it some time, it will get louder, Mine is approaching 20,000 miles. It registers about 89db at WOT @ 60 ft on a Autox course.

Ok yea you obviously didn't have the 'buschur quiet' then (I was thinking you were talking about their crossflow one), it looks almost identical in layout to the magnaflow.

Well this makes more sense then Yes the bigger/crossflow muffler will be quieter than a smaller straight-through can.

I have the BR Crossflow exhaust and find it only slightly louder than than stock. Gives just a slight more rumble. It is not loud at all and I run my radio settings the same now as I did with the stock system. Everyone has different sensitivity, but if the Magnaflow is $400, that is almost half the price of the BUSCHUR system. Of course, I really like the BR rolled tips since they look like the stockers, only round instead of oval.

Are the Magna's not rolled tip? That was one of the biggest appeals of Magnaflows besides non-ricey fart can exhaust note.. OEMish looking rolled tips.

The Magnaflows have rolled tips but they are smaller than the Buschur tips.

Yea that is not the "crossflow" exhaust. Buschur's "crossflow" exhaust is very quiet.

I had the one that you posted a link to. It is pretty loud but I loved the rumble @ idle that the exhaust made. I have an ARK single tip now and it is very quiet even with my test pipe.

I agree, the Buschur crossflow is a really quiet exhaust. I am very pleased with mine.
