Transmission Inspection Plate

Just wondering if there is an inspection plate on the tranny to look for clutch wear. I suspect that my rear main seal has leaked abit onto the clutch causing it to slip. Is there anyway to investigate this without dropping the tranny?

Thanxs

There is a black rubber plug on the bottom of the trans, you can see if the rear main seal is leaking through it, you cannot really tell the condition of the clutch though.

Is it large enough to fit a pipe scope through it? Was thinking about using this to look at the clutch.

Yes you will be able to fit a scope through it, but the only thing you will be able to see is the clutch lining thickness, whether the clutch is glazed or springs are broken you cannot tell.
