Well i just installed my boost gauge and it says my peak boost is 25psi, eventually tapering to 16 which is normal. My vac is 20 at idle and 23 24ish while driving.

ideas? im not sure if my sensor is bad or what. Only mod i have is a cat back exhaust. I do have a slight exhaust leak but i dont know if that would be the problem.

sounds about right, obviously when you drive the more gas u give the less vaccume you will get, and does your boost just jump to 25 psi then start dropping to 16?

If you have not gotten it tuned then finish modding it and get her tuned!

 

My peak boost is 25-26 psi. Im just surprised because i thought peak was 21psi dropping down to 16. The boost is eventually dropping to 16, but its usually time to change gears before it does.

No tune yet, soon though. I need to put the rest of my parts on. Im hoping the tune will help smooth everything out.

 

My guess is inaccurate gauge. Log it through the ECU for actual numbers.

I had spikes without a tune that were about 23psi or so. And that was with an exhaust and a drop-in similar to you. So 25psi isn't that outrageous. But wouldn't run 25psi for too long without being tuned.

A tune should straighten you right out.

 

yea man, i run 27psi all day but its tuned for that, so finish with your quick bolt on upgrades and get her tuned!
