No.

Buschur and CBRD both use Garrett cores.

The Garrett core is a good core, no doubt. But a good core alone doesn't make the intercooler a good intercooler. Attention to detail, such as the deburring on the end tanks is another factor to take into consideration. Not all companies pay much attention to this and if a company overlooks this, aluminum debris may just end up in your motor.

You get what you pay for, but some are over priced and others imported from China and the like which may or may not be of good quality.

I can recommend the ETS lineup and their 4" FMIC's have served me quite well.

My favorite part about the Garrett cores is this little note.

Buschur uses Garrett cores in all their VIII/IX/X intercoolers, CBRD uses them only in their VIII/IX intercoolers and uses the same core manufacturer as AMS for their X intercooler.

No kidding! ...and the fact you're supposed to fix the leaks with Super Glue is enough to steer me away to another manufacturer. How they can say they're not designed to be leak-free is beyond me.

Just get either, make sure it's 4 Inches think, and get the shortest piping available. I have the AMS unit, it works great.

Thanks bud. I've actually already got a good unit on my car. I'm asking just for informational purposes. I'd be really curious if one design surpassed the other in terms of power and efficiency.

To use the 4 inch ets you have to remove the crash bar though correct? Since I seen several people saying to get atleast the 4 inch

Yes, you will need to trim or remove your crash beam. We have had some customers keep it w/o modifying it but the crash beam sits right against the front mount. I would recommend trimming it. The 3.5" will fit behind w/o any modification.

Thanks!

Rockin the 3.5 Ets fmic. I'd recommend this. Great intercooler. Pretty easy to install without any bumper modifications. Looks great with the ets stencil too.

What's wrong with that word of caution? They aren't saying their core leaks 4 psi. They're saying that no core is leak free and to reference the vehicle manufacturer's acceptable level of leak and that ONE EXAMPLE of a manufacturers acceptable level is 4 psi over 15 seconds.

Is anyone running a Full-Race intercooler?
