First both companies are top notch.... but I think you are forgetting the original... and honestly one of the best(if not the best) Buschur Racing!! Not only do they make quality looking parts, but they make parts that simply work.

I would have no problems saying/backing up with sources that if David Buschur didn't start modifying the 4g63 platform, it would not be as advanced as it is today. No joke. He has more done "firsts" in the eclipse/talon/evo world than any other company.

both are great shops. i have parts from both on my evo. but the truth be told, i have a ets header, and about 10 ams parts on my car. i might be wrong, but i believe ams offers more parts than ets. that said, whenever i have a question, simple or complex, i call ams, and they are always very friendly and answer my questions frankly

You really can't go wrong with either company. There are both two of the upstanding members of the aftermarket performance world. I think your money is likely to stretch a bit further with ETS though.

ETS exhaust is the meanest and nicest sounding exhaust ive heard, i get complements on my exhaust alot and people dont believe me when i tell them i only have bolt ons lol.
do you have the normal version or the race version with no mufflers? i want the car loud, but not overbearing. if you have ever seen crawford's gymkhana exhaust for the sti...i ran that and it was so loud that i couldn't even hear the radio turned up. i took it off a week later and now run an invidia n1 race...so when i want something to be around that nature of sound.

I live in AMS country(chicago land) and only 30 min away from the AMS shop but i like to stand out. I am favoring ETS more and more, I love their intake and I love how their V2 exhaust sounds. Their intercoolers ranging from 3"-5" cores and Anodizing options are great to have.

I run the ETS intake and UICP. I also have the AMS single exhaust. The quality of both these brands is outstanding.

If you want an o2 dump, ETS is the way to go.

I decided to go with ETS and I'm more than happy. Since I live up in Canada I have to call in to order all my parts and the ETS guys have outstanding customer service, they are willing to claim their parts at a lower price so UPS doesn't hit me with $10000 of extra charges. I've never once had a problem with fitment, everything lines up perfectly and has a great build quality. ETS parts I have: V2-Extreme, Test-Pipe, O2-Dump Downpipe, Full Intercooler Kit, and Intake.

Heres what my exhaust set up sounds like (extremely loud )

Never dealt with AMS but I will say that ETS has some of the best CS in the business, are very helpful in getting you what you need, if there is an issue they will solve it.

The other thing that draws me to ETS is they will basically make you anything you can dream up. In house fabrication and testing done onsite

I ran this question through my head but the price premium threw me off the AMS boat. They are both great products but my money went to ETS.

I have all of ETS's bolt-ons and LOVE them. (4in FMIC, uicp, licp, intake, single exit exhaust, test pipe, open dumb down pipe) Michael is an awesome guy to deal with over at ETS. He has answered any question I have and is always very polite and respectful. Customer service is very important to me when I am intrested in purchasing something from a company and ETS goes above and beyond when it comes to that.

Here is a few pics of my parts

I run parts from both as well... And both have a military discount actually, so it actually breaks down for me to who can ship the parts to Hawaii the cheapest! Either way, both great companies with top notch customer service and products!

its simply a pissing match about what brand you favor....

I prefer AMS - again, many parts they are currently making are cast - flow better, better designs.

AMS parts i feel are more proven - look at the records that AMS broke when they were doing time attack - their parts and fitment are more than proven.

Both companies make good products - never dealt with ETS personally but i have a few people that have and never made any bad comments.

I will always go with AMS - but thats just me
