HKS 3240 Full Turbine Kit, launching issues
Gday from Australia.
I was wondering if anyone else if running the HKS 3240 full turbine kit on their cars and if you also suffer from launching (turbo lag/ SST) issues.
My car is running the turbo kit and HKS cams plus a few other mods.
The issues when launching is the SST is launching too softly , almost hesitantly and the turbo simply isnt producing enough boost at unloaded rpm (launch control), so when i let go of the brake pedal the car bogs down and plods off the line until the turbo spools up.
After racing the car at the local 1/4 mile I couldnt get the 60 foot time below 2.5 seconds which is killing my terminal velocity and overall time.
My best time of the night was 12.7 @ 111mph.
With the mods my car has and the amount of HP it makes i was expecting to run a faster time.
Is anybody else having the same issues while running a bigger frame turbo and do any of you have suggestions to overcome these issues.
Thanks
Ben

I had the car tuned by Racetorque in Western Australia.
The gearbox tune has not been touched as yet. The car accelerates extremely hard once it is on boost, it is just getting off the line that is the hard.

Thanks for the replies, I am thinking about changing the turbo housing to a 0.63 rear housing and upgrading injectors, fuel pump plus a retune to see if we can get more out of the set up. Also hopefully this should help reduce the lag.
