So I'm relatively sure I've always had this(maybe i just started noticing it now), but I get a whine in 1st gear and a little bit of 2nd gear. The car shifts fine and no whining in higher gears. Is this just the gears making noise? I think I've heard it in cars I used to have but like i said, can't remember haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I have about 20,000 miles on the car)

 

Haha, after watching a few videos of evos on youtube it seems it's just a normal noise, they all had the same thing. Guess that's what I get for not paying attention to all the weird noises cars make while i drive lol,

 

Most noticeable when it is freezing outside and you downshift into 2nd I have it too.
