Question Alternator belt replacement?

I searched and couldn't find any info in the other forums…I threw a belt and bought a replacement from Oreillys auto. It was a Gates part #k061033. I couldn't get the sucker on. They assure it's the evo, not the regular lancer's belt. Autozone has two listed but they are about the same size Does anyone know a replacement belt that will fit?! (other than the OEM mitsu.belt). I'd appreciate any info.

That gates will fit unless it was mislabeled. Did you move the tensioner and stick an allen wrench in the hole to hold it in place?

Thank you for your input...

Okay, that was the number on the belt itself, so I don't think it was mislabeled. Yes I did put a hex wrench/key in to hold the tensioner. I even had a buddy try to "force" the belt on while I pushed the tensioner passed the Hex wrench slot. I have a maintenance manual with the routing so I know I got that right as well. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I do appreciate both of your replies, though, thanks again.
