pick your power goal and then decide what you need. IF you stay around stockish i'll give you my stock pistons and rods for free. They never even turned once in the new engine.
I bought a new engine from Mitsubishi, and it did came with a fully assembled engine. Since i was building a rally engine we took out the pistons and rods. They are on my shelf doing nothing.
So if you need them stop by and its yours. They are brand new just like you would get them from a dealer but from me is for free, if you you dont boost high and planning crazy HP. Other than that you need something else, at least the rods.

Good, nothing better then a nicely build balanced engine. When you build make sure you will pay attantion on the quality and very important, the weight of the parts you will put it in! Not everything about max hp -tq limits....

How long after your tune did it blow

 

Wow, doesn't seem like it should have failed at those power levels, at the very least, not that quickly.

 

Did you find out if it was a tune problem or just mechanical failure?

that ended up being a bad maf sensor.

 

My MAF sensor went down the same day as tune. Replaced it and it ran well for two weeks until this happened.

 

^ Sucks to hear but also good to know you arent giving up on the car. I have seen blown motors make people despise cars. Good luck with the new build.

2. Wiseco 9.0:1 conpression pistons
3. ACL rod bearings
4. FIC 1100 cc injectors
5. MAP EF3 Turbocharger fully ported
6. Possibly Deatschwerks 265 lph drop in fuel pump
7. Supertech dual valve springs and retainers
8. Supertech intake and exhaust valves
9. Exchange Cosworth MX1 cams for GSC S2 cams
10. ARP head studs
11. Complete OEM Gasket set
12. Competition Stage 2 2100 street series clutch
13. ACT streetlite flywheel

The head will be sent out to a mschine shop. If the block is damaged then that will be sent out as well. Main studs, engine bearings, and thrust washers will be added if block gets pulled. I assume not since car does run. We won't get a look until i begin the tear down on saturday.
