AMS Clutch master cylinder install help

So my Clutch master cylinder went. long story short i replaced it with the AMS clutch master cylinder upgrade. High quality part everything went back together fine but i am having a problem getting the clutch master cylinder arm back onto the clutch pedal inside the car. i have not taken my dash apart at all so i am just trying to snake my way under the dash and i cannot get it on for the life of me. It feels like it snaps on half way but then it just falls off. i cannot snake some pliers in there is no room. should i try greasing it a bit? anyone else do there own CMC install that can shine some light on my situation. thanks.

did you take the clip off the CMC shaft before you tried to put it on the pedal?

From the AMS instructions:

Install the clutch master cylinder; use the nuts that were on the cut off studs to tighten it in place. Under the dash the shaft snaps onto the clutch pedal just like stock. The clip that is on the end of the shaft must be removed to allow it to pop onto the pedal. It can be re-installed afterwards but it’s not required.

Sounds like that may be your answer, update the thread to tell if that was it.

I just did the magnus one so post up if you have questions.

It's a sucky install but just time consuming more than anything.

AWDterror im reading your thread about the MAGNUS CMC install do you think i could unbolt the brake master cylinder and pull it off without brake fluid going everywhere? i wanna ninja check that brake master cylinder O-ring.

I doubt it honestly. I think to get the brake master off you need to pull the reservoir to get to the bolts. If you can keep all the lines on the brake master and keep the reservoir on maybe you can do it, but I don't think you can get at that bolts with it on there. If that makes sense.

Yeah, you won't be able pull it to check the o-ring without pulling the lines. Have you bled the brake properly? You know there are 2 bleeder valves per screw.

I can get the brake master cylinder off without removing the lines just fine I've done this 4 times already. The oring is there I threw some grease on it so it would stick to the BMC but I keep getting a vacuum leak when pumping the brakes.

And yea I know there are 2 bleeder valves per brake caliper I bled them all but if they weren't bled right would that give me a vacuum leak?

Check to make sure all 8 your caliper bleeders are closed I guess.

And beside that you shouldn't have a leak assuming you don't see fluid everywhere coming from near the reservoir where all the lines hook up.

Did you tighten the hard lines down? Reattach the brake pedal with clip inside the cabin?

Trying to think of what it could be....
