So tonight one of my frinds was a bit too drunk to drive home so i told him i would drop him off. On the wat to his house pulling into traffic I accelerated rather fast and the trans reved high through second gear (second gear revved higher then first). then i smelled that wonderful burning clutch smell (but only a little bit). after getting off h highway i IMMINENTLY noticed NO resistance in the shifter.. it was like a sponge! It elt as if there was no difference in gears. even in a gear i could move the shifter around! Also if felt like the highest gear i cold go into was 4th... as if 5th was totaly gone... all the way right and down instead of being reverse felt like 4th. and if i tried to shift into 5h (top right) it felt like downshifting into 3rd!.

no lights or CELS, and the clutch and flywheel was JUST dont at the dealer less then 1k miles ago! please for the love of god can someone shed some light on this? im getting sick of dealing with trans problems with this car!

So i Wound up popping the hood and taking a look and found the problem!

one of the cotter pins on the shift linkage bushing popped out and caused the linkage to slip off the trans which caused the issue. Pop'd it back on with a fresh pin and its as good as new! Anyone else have this problem? seems pretty random :-D

 

Yea the pin fell out on my twice after my build lol
It feels like u broke something but that damn pin just falls out

 

It totally feels like you blew that trans! :-D lucky its a fast and easy fix!
