i got water in my engine

so thursday night we had a bad rain here in Vegas. you could not see anything 5 feet in front of you, and everyone was driving slow and i didnt notice but i was already in 1.5 ft of water. needless to say the car turned off, i tried to turn it on, as i was nervous and didnt know wtf was going on. long story short yes i did turn i about 5 times total (on side of the street, once i pushed out of the water)

ok so 2 days later, saturday (yesterday) i removed the spark plugs and turned the car, and water was splashing out, not gushing out like ive seen on youtube. also my battery is dead, so in order to turn the car, i need to be hooked up to another car. anyways once i got most of the water out i put everything back together, i turned it on again. the car turned on, and idled nasty, jumping from 1k to 3k. then it eventually turned off. i then tried to turn it, and no go. i kept turning it forcing to turn, at which in time it did turn on, but i heard what sounded to me like a knocking noise, it was worse than the first time when i turned it on.

what do i do now? oh and the spark plugs were wet (well duh) an insurance adjuster should be coming to see the car this week, and i dont know what to do, any suggestions?

man, that sucks, but to truely do it right, the motor will have to be taken apart, once water is in there, it's in there if that makes sense, and now you have internals that could start to rust, good luck man

Did you drain your oil yet? I'd hold off on trying to start your car again. If you've got a cai you should consider putting your stock intake back on.

Tell him what you said in the first paragraph of the 1st post. Nothing more, nothing less.
Best of luck.

Insurance claim.

You should have drained your oil and got all that water out.
