Saying the sky is red doesn't make it true. Straight MT-90 is 75W-90, easy to see that doesn't equal Mitsu's 75W-80 spec.

Spoke to Kelly at Redline this week at PRI and he confirmed what I thought and that MT85 is the right tranny fluid for the Evo X.
In any case, the mix and MT85 are very close, but Redline recommends the MT85.

MT90 is not right, that is for sure.

I think Redline says it's the right mix for Evo X's because it's the closest they have. It really matches the specs for Evo 8/9 5spd's, which call for a slightly thicker oil than Evo X's. Now saying that I don't think it would actually cause any harm to the transmission, it just wouldn't shift as smooth as 2xMTL 1xMT90, especially in the cold.

So 2xMTL and 1xMT90 will do the trick?

Will it work fine? I am not sure, theoretically its too thick and i would not recommend it. I would imagine it would only be beneficial in a purposely built roadrace car. Viscosity would thin out after getting hot. Go cocktail or MT85 .

Listen to these guys^^^

I just figured i would comment since you quoted me.
