New evo gsr slow start

Newbie here, have 1000 miles on 2013 GSR, I have noticed that occasionally the car takes a long time to start. Not sure if the batteries are weak in this car or if it is a function of the battery being far from the engine. Just wanted to see if anyone had the same issue?

Like it cranks slow, or just cranks a bunch before it actually starts?

I've always noticed that the Evo's were a little "slow" to start. As in, in my 09 Lancer ES, I would turn the key and it would come on within like .5-1 seconds. Whereas with the Evo, it seems to be a little bit longer, as in it is "turning over" for probably 2-2.5 seconds. My friend who has an 08 X with an intake/exhaust, his takes even longer, probably more like 3-3.5 seconds turning over until it actually starts. I think it's due to the size of the battery. Maybe not enough cranking amps. Hope that helps op.

cranks a bunch before starting. Thanks guys for the info. I think I may take it by an automotive store and have them check the battery just to be sure.
