Hope someone can help me with this one. Have 950 miles on a Stage 3 CC in my EVO X. New clutch, pressure plate and lightened fly wheel. Its working great, accept it slips when at a stop and going up hill in first and reverse only. It will grab, and then slip, I have to continue to engage the clutch over and over again to get it to grip enough to either back up or pull forward up hill. I called CC and the service guy cliffton, mentioned adjusting the peddle to see if that works. I am lost on this because it works great at high rpm's and high speeds.

Almost sounds like maybe you are riding the pedal a little hard or resting your foot on it after you disengage it? if it doesnt slip when load is applied or at full torque then the clutch is fine its something else that isnt being done correctly. If you get hot taking off it will slip till it cools down but you must be getting it fairly heated up, to the point I presume you can smell it?

 

Yeah what JohnBradley said. Sounds like you are over slipping it. Also did you remove the clutch pill? that will make it slip extra on top of what ever slipping you are doing.

 

Remove the pill and get your foot completely away from the clutch pedal.
