Stage 3 clutch slipping

I have a cc stage 3 clutch with a cc lightweight fly wheel. The problem I'm having is slipping in first and reverse, especially on an incline. It is so bad I am afraid of driving my car on a trip, worried I will get stuck trying to climb a hill from a stop. I'm thinking, is this due to the lightened fly wheel? Do I need to install the stock steel one? I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this combination. Any help please!

A lightened flywheel simply reduces the amount of rotating mass the engine must spin thus freeing up some horsepower and allowing the engine to rev faster.

When it's slipping is it fully engaged?

How many miles are on the flywheel / clutch?

When you do a pull does it slip?

Here's a good read for you-

I've only seen slipping in higher gears because of the higher loads. This is a baffling problem.

Does not slip under higher loads, only from a stop. Seems either it will stall out if I don't give it enough gas, but when i do it slips. Then I have to keep re-engaging the clutch with it slipping to finally move forward. This clutch has less than 3,000 miles on it.

Now I'm really confused, why do you have to "keep re-engaging the clutch" if it's slipping?

This is sounding more and more like you just need practice driving a heavy car with a light flywheel.

I had a stage 2 with lightened fly wheel and did not have this problem. Re-engaging is maybe not the proper term, because the problem is its not engaging, I have to push the clutch in numerous times until the car is moving then its fine. I have noticed some times when I let the clutch out I feel the car to begin to move forward with out pressing the gas, it is engaging and there is no slipping, this happens about 30% of the time. The other times I can slowly let the clutch out all the way to the top with it not engaging, and that's when I have a difficult time getting into first gear from a stop. Could air in the system be doing this?

Again, thank you for any input.

That sounds like the slave is not working properly or the friction disk is sticking on the input shaft of the trans. Who did the install?

After thinking about this awhile it sounds like you may have a clutch adjustment problem.

Try this.

A local shop did the install, I recently replaced the CMC due to failing.

Thank you, that's a great video! I know my mechanic did not do this, I asked about the adjustment and he made it sound like there wasn't much adjusting to do, and it wouldn't make a difference. Definitely calling this guy back up.
