help identifying a part

Hello,

I bought a used evo x that was over boosting and I pinpointed it to be the hose assembly going to the compressor and the pill that was inside of it. After replacing it, I cut out that pill and this is what it looks like. It's massive and has a hole in middle like a pill would but again, huge.

It looks like it has 030 on it and it was over boosting to 27psi.

Thanks for the help,
Rob

Good to hear! I bought a "built" evo 8 a few years back and we couldn't tune it correctly due to knock issues, turns out the previous owner broke the threads off the old knock sensor and put a new knock sensor somewhere random on the block, forget where. Why cant people just fix things the correct way?! so frustrating

Wow, thats nuts. My car came with a boost solenoid and intake, but im doubting there was a tune on it (only got a Lean CEL though). People are idiots sometimes huh? Now im stage 1 with all stock parts.
