Weird rubber seal found in oil

So I did a routine oil change last night and when I emptied my oil drain pan I found this little piece of rubber seal at the bottom. I tried to get the best picture but it was hard to show the shape and dimension. It's maybe 3/4" long and looks like an oil seal or something. I'm not very familiar with this engine internally and am wondering what the heck it's from and how bad could it be?

Car is a 2014 Evo X MR with 8,000 miles and never had a problem before this. Mitsu tech I showed it to thought it might be part of the front crank seal but wasn't sure. They want to pull my oil pan and investigate but I'd like to know more before doing that. It's rubbery but does not feel very strong. I don't know 100% that it came out of my oil drain since I didn't watch the entire drain but I have no clue where else it would come from.

Any help would be great.
