Questions, Questions

Just got a hold of a 2014 Evo X and I'm looking for an exhaust and intake first and foremost. I kinda like the looks and specs of the Injen axel back and the AGP cold air intake. Are those good choices or do you guys have any others I should look at?

Wow

Don't be so lazy. Google evo x and the part you are curious about. I'm sure you will find feedback. People read and educate themselves on here. You just want someone else to do the studying and give you the answers. Then you get mad when nobody lets you copy their homework, after only 24 hrs. Lol

Assuming you plan on potentially doing more down the road, I'd look for a vendor that makes/supplies a spectrum of parts that are designed to work in harmony together and has proven record at the track. I went ETS for those reasons for my X and used AMS previously for my VIII. I switched to ETS as they are still focused on EVO's whereas AMS has moved to higher end (margin) vehicles like the GTR, R8, etc.

There is an entire sticky thread on this forum for exhausts.

Plus about a million threads asking the same question you are.

To your question, personally I wouldn't buy Injen for an Evo...I'd stick with AMS, ETS, etc. I love my Invidia catback. Read the sticky, see what you like, and good luck with modding!

Thanks!

Thanks, my problem was I had read all the information I could and being that its all marketing to get you to buy their product i wanted people who actually use the items to give me their input. Thats right there are lots of threads that have some information I need but who has time to sift through all that fog to see the light? I have already made my decision after much time spent, I'm going with the ETS V2 extreme exhaust and AGP intake and UIC pipes. My problem wasn't being lazy its just 78 people Viewed this and said nothing, and you jump on me? @ Chriswolf81 its not nice to immediately attack, kind of immature.

I'm just glad you're smart enough to realize the vendor numbers are usually inflated to make them look better than the competition! I love hearing that someone is going to see a 25whp gain just by bolting on an intake.

I'd be careful with the V2 Extreme. I have the 'Quiet' and it is anything but. I work in a multi-story building and the people on the top floor can tell when I arrive and leave. The 'Quiet' is loud - in a good way. If the Extreme is twice as loud, and your car is a daily driver, I suspect you may regret it - especially if you have any long commutes or highway drives.

Any reason not to stick with ETS for all parts? Again, they were engineered together for optimal performance. And, at very least, if you have a problem you only have one vendor to contact.

My $0.02.
