I posted the warranty denial in another thread. The warranty was denied by the Mitsubishi regional representative. They made it clear that because of a tune, the warranty was voided. Funny, but I thought that the AYC pump was going out because of salt corrosion, not tunes, but hey, I am not Mitsubishi. No problem though as both my son and I will be selling our Evo Xs this spring and I will NEVER EVER buy another Mitsubishi.

Anyone else have issues with modded evo being denied warranty coverage?

I usually got south coast mitsubisi for my check ups/oil change. They have been pretty easy going with the car being modded.

I just had my ACD pump fail and figured i'd share my experience. My car is stored in the winter, pulled it out to warm it up bam awd service light. I checked the common cause and started by removing the bump.. quickly I saw how corruded the pump was.

Called the dealership made it very clear if they were going to deny me because of my mods and tune tell me now before I waste my time and bring it in.

Long story short I dropped it off saturday and picked it up Monday with ACD pump replaced and good to go. Honestly I am insanely impressed with Mitsubishi. Cheers!

Do you think AYC/ACD pump/trunk re-locators would be denied?

They are denied. I spoke to the dealership. My advice is keep having them replace it as the extended warranty is 10 year 100,000 miles. If you use the relocation kit the warrany is no longer valid. Has to be in stock location. Just a heads up to the fellow evo owners.

The 10yr/100,000 mile warranty is only for original owner, otherwise it's 3 yrs/ 36,000 miles
