ETS Down Pipe and Test Pipe

So I will be installing a ETS Recirculated Down Pipe and a Test Pipe on my car and be installing my AFR gauge at the same time. That being said this will be my only mod do I need to get tuned right away if so does Cobb have a map I can put on my accessport? Or can I drive around untuned with no harm being done? Lastly does anyone know if with a ETS Single Exit added to this will I be able to shoot flames?

If you're replacing the cat with a test pipe then you will need a tune asap. There's no ots map from cobb that'll cover it, you'll need a pro tune. The reason it would shoot flames is because the stock tune from the factory is super rich. With a pro tune your tuner will target a ideal afr, thus making it more lean, so no flames really.

Most definitely get a tune right away. I'd be babying it around with a test pipe on until then. You should be right near CP-E yea? They should be able to take care of you.

You can run the cobb stage 2 and be ok! The only thing your missing is the catback which really wouldnt matter much ne ways. I have ETS downpipe and Highflow cat and run stage 2 and all the afrs and data logs look good.

Fair enough! I don't have any experience with them, but I've heard some good things.

We recommend a tune when replacing the cat with a straight through test pipe. Flames are caused from a rich condition where unburned fuel is ignited in the exhaust system.

Enjoy your new mods!

Well I need to find someone local that can make me a base map for Cobb till I can get tuned. Also looking at you're single exit in the near future! Keep making quality parts!

Like what everybody stated getting a tune is a must. But if you barely drive your X like me (catless & untuned) once in a blue moon, then I guess there's no harm done. I'm afraid my X is going to break down for simply not seeing the sun at all!
