Clutch Life Expectancy

I just picked up a new FE #1332. I am coming over from a 3000gt vr4 making approx 400-450 awhp. I intend on keeping the evo stock for the forseable future. With no launching or other clutch abuse other than the occasion rolling start to redline, how long can i expect this clutch to last. I realize the surface area on this clutch is likely smaller than that in my 3000gt.

A long time.

You'll inevitably get the "my clutch went out at 3k miles" people here soon, but that's all operator error

Entirely dependent on how you drive; mostly in regards to starting from a stop, and properly rev matching when down shifting.

Remove your clutch pill and don't launch too frequently, and you should be good for a while. Ive been over at least 350ftlb for 40k miles and at 55k miles still good.

Its a little restricor that limits how fast the slave cylinder allows fluid to travel and slows down the engagement of the clutch.

like stated by the gentlemen above, it can last as long as any other ckutch if you use it like a human being, sometimes, this can be hard on our cars, lol. also, try to bleed the fluid, and adjust the travel, and shin the piviot ball if needed, if you do not know what all these mean, don't worry, there is a lot of info on these and they are fairly simple, look up jacks transmission on youtube and watch his videos, pretty straight forward, lastly, if you DIY this project, be sure to read the evomitos write up, have all the tools needed along with an extra pair of hands, and don't forget (very important) to put ALL the bell housing bolts back on the transmission, failiure to do this will cause not only clutch drag, but it has to potential to twist your crank, anyway, hope it goes well.
