Going with 18k

Im choosing the fuel injectors and pump now. Any harm of going slightly larger than what i really need in terms of injectors and fuel pump?

Im between ID1050x or DW1100 injectors and between DW65 265l or DW300 340l.

I will have three maps,
1. pump gas which is 91 octane around here
2. Pump gas with snow performance meth stage 2
3. Race gas most likely 109 or 116

Any feedback would be appreciated as i have everything in shopping kart ready to order.

I would avoid DW injectors. They usually don't tune to well. I would also avoid the DW pump for reliability concerns

SInce your only running gas, no ethanol, a 1000cc or 1100cc injector will be fine. Either Injector Dynamics 1000's, or Fuel Injector Clinic 1000's or 1100's will work well. 1100's will give you more head room if you ever go to E85.

For the fuel pump, I would get an Asnu. It will be E85 ready if you ever go that route, and they are good reliable pumps.

I compared the ID1050X to the Clinic 1100 and the IDs are rated at 3bar in 120f of fuel temp while the Clinic is rated at 3 bar in 90f temps. We have very hot weather here so i think the ID1050x will hold better flow at those high temps. Im not sure i got that right but its what i understood from their numbers. So it seems the ID1050X is the correct choice for me.

As for the pump, i never heard of this Asnu brand before, did you try them yourself? Also what is the disadvantages of going with 340l pump over 255l pump?

I didn't realize the ID1050X was Injector dynamics. That would be a good option. It's likely that it's the same bosch injector that FIClinic uses for their 1100's.

I've installed the Asnu in a few X's, its a good pump. The advantage of it is that it's a reliable drop in. I've had too many issues with the DW pumps to continue using them.

The Asnu pump is a direct replacement from what i saw. For the ID1050 injectors, i had to get the plug and play connector to ease the installation.

I will post the dyno results afterwards.

Sweet, keep this thread updated with your project!

I see you have upgraded internals. Did you blow an engine before? Or was that all prep for the 18k?

No i had piston one damage from a broken spark plug tip due to an extended run in 5th gear at 8k RPM I was trying to keep up with Porsche's at those speeds

So i cleaned the block and put proper pistons, rods and rod bearings in. I also change spark plugs every second oil change.

Good to know. These spark plugs are sketch. I too broke the ceramic but luckily it didn't break free and f*ck the engine.

Update:
We started the Turbo swap today. Also the injectors and fuel pump are going in.

I have a triple exedy clutch that im thinking to install while we are doing the turbo. Not sure if the stock clutch will handle 400whp.
