Are you running factory bore 86mm?

To me it's really fishy that I went from an aggressive stock turbo setup to a T4 setup with the same exact engine and am getting this knock. It's like the combo of 2.2l and tubular manifolds causes mayhem or something. I dunno.
I'm on stock block running 92 oct.

After all you've done I can only imagine a re-tune being the only solution.

We're convinced this isn't true knock. Hopefully I'll be able to get some detcans on it soon. But the severity of the knock count on such a mild tune and e85 tells us there's no way. I completely trust the tuner as well. Most of the X community trusts this tuner. It's EXTREMELY intermittent. One pull has 1 counts, the next has 11+. I'm looking for mechanical explanations more than anything.

Why not try reseting timing to give you 0* at 3800-4k, and ramp it to 12* out the top. You "swear" its phantom knock, but that's kind of a lot of timing. It sounds like you've done everything to find phantom knock, except pull timing...

Can you post a datalog with RPM, boost, load, and timing.

The fact that you get more knock as you do consecutive pulls points directly to too much timing down low creating heat, and the heat just builds as you do pulls.

So, this is a tune issue. But it's not from too much timing. It's a combination of things.
