Evo 10 5spd transmission rebuild

So some of you might have seen one of my previous post about my 4th gear issue. It is pretty simple, my 4th gear just jumped out on occasions. There was no logic to this, it didn't happen specifically when I turned or accelerated or braked it just happend when it felt like to.
I checked the cables, the linkages, the gear lever cage and all exterior aspect of the transmission and found no apparent problems.
(The car is a 2014 EDM EVO 10 GSR with 49'000km on the counter and I am the first owner.)

So I decided to open the gearbox...

To my suprise the inner components of transmission are like new ! The shift fork is hardly worn, the syncros are are in tolerance and the general aspect of all parts are fine..

Any ideas ?

I have some other photos too.

Need to see what the shift fork looks like when it's not on the shift sleeve. Where the wear shows up , you can't see it right now. Also, you need to cycle the shift sleeve by hand without the fork on it, see if you're getting proper resistance from the synchro springs.

I will post some photos when I get back home tonight.
But I can tell that the fork is hardly worn and the sleeve glides smoothly. I still need to find a method to see if the fork is bent.

I would replace that fork since its out, it's hard to tell in the pics, but it looks like decent wear. What do the teeth on the slider look like?

The fork isn't really worn but yes I will replace it in any case. The slider is in good condition too and I will also replace it.
Is there any possibility that the "detent ball" on the housing could be worn ? Visually it looks fine but I am unsure about the pressure to apply on in.

You can compare it to the other ones. Make sure the synchro ball/spring is good/still there. To check these you have to disassemble the shaft enough to get the slider off the hub.

Man. Definitely not seeing a clear reason for that thing to be coming out of gear. Usually with an issue like that there is an apparent issue. They synchronizer engagement teeth don't look to have excessive wear either.

Yeah I know it's driving me crazy !
I just wonder if it is the detent ball that holds the shift rail in gear. I mean the detent ball that screws to the casing.

Yeah, I knew which one you meant. Compare it to the other shift rail detents.

Did you ever perform an alignment of the shift selector assembly on top of the transmission?

Did you ever figure this out? Going through the same issue with 4th. Had the trans refreshed cables replaced, all bushings for the cage, linkage and gate selector. Still pops out when I hit the throttle. The trans shop told me to look at the 4 detents on the top of the trans can anyone help me out and tell me how I check these?
