Check engine light came on, found out it was rear o2. Had dealership reset codes, but check engine came back on.

Took car back to dealership, said the wiring was sheared. Now they say its going to cost about $500 for replacement parts and $200ish for labor.

Iv looked around and it seems like there is a huge gap in price. Im not sure if im looking at the right thing?

Iv also read that rear 02 isnt really needed?

Car still runs like normal, so im trying to figure out what to do...Any advise here?

Car runs just fine without rear 02. It is there ONLY to see if the cat is working properly. Any good tuner can turn off the CEL.
