Install was somewhere in between $1200-1500 @ my buddy's shop. He swapped the MC for me too.

You don't have to do the MC upgrade. It was just a preventative thing. It's pain to install, so you will save on installation hours there. You can probably have your current flywheel resurfaced as well, so that will save you some too. So you can shave off $600ish on parts, and a couple hours labor on install.
