Canadian EVO X spec sheet
I didn't know they were taking orders now. What colour did you settle on?I would also like to know if the lancer can be had with a specially fitted roof rack?
Also -- the car will have those special "Fast key" entry thing, but will this be conflicted by trying to put on a remote starter or turbo timer? Will this turbo even benefit from a turbo timer?
Thanks! I ordered black.
I have no idea about the roofrack. But I can't imagine that it wouldn't.
The fastkey is only on the MR. As for a remote start/turbo timer, couldn't say one way or the other. But I wouldn't bother w a turbo timer unless you plan a lot of track days. Otherwise for street use, its total overkill.

As for the weight, I'm not sure how they measure. Maybe that is some form of gross vehicle weight with a set number of occupants..But I doubt it.
I do know the X is a lot stiffer than the IX, so maybe the stiffened up chassis, the bumper modifications for the Canadian market, the better quality interior, and all the techno wizardry adds up to the increased heft..

Plus, the Inifiniti G coupe only weighs between 20 and 60 pounds more. Sure it doesn't have the two extra doors or AWD, but it does have heavy luxury items piled in and 40 more horsepower. And it's priced similarly.

Have any of you read the article in 0-60 magazine on the Evo X? Its a really good read and what I found the most fascinating was the authors opinion that this is the best Evo created. I've heard a ton of those comments, so even though it weighs more , it still performs amazingly. Im keeping my head up for the X

so the jdm version weighs 3,395 lbs (1540 kg)
this one weighs 3,517 (1595 kg)
thats a 122 lb gain...which probably sounds about right since the US evo 8 was 132 lbs (60kg) heavier than the JDM 8

I still want one, seriously if I do buy one I'm going to take it to the track maybe once or twice a year rest of the time its going to be my daily driver. So I guess I can sacrifice some 0-60 time and trade it for nicer interior and safety. Plus I can't wait to see if the new motor is very mod friendly, if it is then I don't see a 0-60 time as a thing that can't be improved with a basic bolt on mods.
