Why can't Evo X lovers accept the facts?
climate control...turn the temp knob and fan speed where u need it to be in order to be comfortable...if it's hot outside then press the ac button
cruise.....hold the gas pedal down at the speed u want to travel
heated seats....if it's that big of a deal....crank ur car then go back in the house until your car warms up...if ur butt is cold then wear warm pants...lol
I've noticed a growing trend on many Evo X threads where Evo X guys are beginning to dispute the facts as they come out. They're arguing over the official USDM HP/TQ figures and the official USDM weight. That official information has been available on
website since 11/15/07...yet they still argue over the facts.

Don't get me wrong...many Evo X guys are just fine with the facts. Some are dissappointed. But, there are quite a few newbs to this site that fit the description I listed above.
Why would they do that considering the data came straight from Mitsu? I guess they just don't want to believe what they are reading

press releases are not divine. Like if tomorrow on their website they said they were having a 72 virgin giveaway to the first person who explodes one, I wouldn't rush out and strap on a dynamite belt...
Wow... after reading 1/2 of these posts I'm thinking there's a little bit of resentment in the Evo camp. Evo VIII/IX vs. X guys? Come on, both are great cars!
That being said, I don't dispute any of the facts or figures regarding the Evo X's performance, but I will point out that the new GT-R has been consistently putting down low 500's on myriad dyno's, where as Nissan rated it at 480 bhp.
Also, I will cite the fact that Mitsu put in the restrictor pills in the vacuum line after hearing of reported boost spikes of 23+ from new, unmodded evo owners.
I think it's entirely possible that due to inaccuracies in manufacturing thousands of Evos, a couple higher and lower power engines probably made it through the line.
I'm no engineer, but you can manufacture the frame out of a lighter material. Also, you can redesign the geometry of the chassis - you know, the whole "a triangle is the strongest shape..." bit?
