12 dollars an hour for being a bus boy??? What happened to you young kids making minimum wage or just above that and actually working hard, scraping money together, saving... Does your family own this place and just paid you an ungodly amount of money to pick up after people??
That sounds exactly like the kid I go to UTI with that had his mommy and daddy ship over a, at the time brand new 06' BMW M3 from Germany.. And his next door neighbor of 18 years old has a 07' Jeep SRT-8 paid for by his parents, who also own a Ferrari 575M, Jaguar XJ220, and a Porsche GT3.

I remember when I refused to let my parents help me out with my loan payments or insurance when I was your age.. and I can proudly say that every vehicle I've owned or other motorized toy that I've bought I have fully paid for by myself.. It builds a little thing called responsibility, and not be fed from the silver spoon.

if they are going to buy it for you get the x, only if you feel you have good enough driving skills to handle it, just be responsible about it and youll be fine, i got my evo right after i turned 18 and ive never wrecked it or any car for that matter,(knock on wood) lol, and my previous car was a mustang gt, bottom line its exactly what your looking for, if u dont get it and you drive one later youll wish you would have got it. if not a x get a ix and mod it. good luck and be safe man

EvoX326...

Having a high performance vehicle as your first car is not ideal, especially, for a young person like yourself. But if you're getting support from your parents and approves you of having one, DO NOT take that for granted so you don't become part of the statistics.

Enjoy whatever car you're getting without abusing the blessing you have in your hand.

I see too many young people in the news killing themselves for being stupid and irresponsible thinking they have every right to be on the road with high performance cars paid by their parents and what not. Driving is NOT a RIGHT but a PRIVILEGE and treat it as such!

You're too blessed to even have such car you're considering to blow it on mistakes. On top of all that... LIFE IS TOO GOOD to die through such a pathetic way (I'm not saying that you are going to be one of those; just a reminder).

Good luck in your first car and most importantly enjoy it, value it and be safe!

The chances that you won't are akin to having 10k lines of code compile on the first try. If you're ok with this and plan to repair your car every few months, go for it. If not, you might try looking into that Jeep Cherokee SRT8... it's pretty sweet and is probably a lot more forgiving when you get intimate with curbs & bushes
you make some very good points, as when I first started driving, I drove around in an SUV. I was very responsible but like you said, I curbed the rims, backed into parking poles, etc.

thank god it wasn't a nice performance vehicle as my first car

this is about to be a very long, potentially angry post.

Iam greatful they loved me enuff to make sure i was safe with a car that wasn't to powerful for me.

this is the reason my insurance went up 120 a month on my evo, and thats with a perfect record. You wanna know why it went up, because dumbass people keep wrecking them and the car's rating keeps rising. At this point it may be cheaper to insure a ferrari.
this is jus like what my parents are doing, and agree 100% with what u said.

i was jus like you (thread starter) when i was 15. got my permit, and looked for cars n ****. of course i looked at fast cars, supras stis evos all that stuff. i wanted to drive fast and street race like the people in the movies. well after a year of driving. i know the value of a ****ing dollar, and insurance. i can get a acura rsx or a toyota celica for 14k. well whats stoping me right? insurance. i now know and understand kids like you get these fast cars, and crash them. i know i know u drove a Porsche bla bla. you drive like an angel with a parent in the car, but when your alone.. hell no. everyone is like that. and now i cant get even a impreza 2.5i or even a lancer or anything potentially fast now. I'm prolly going to get stuck with some piece of crap i don't like (used or new), and well i don't care, because i know i wont drive like a dumb *** with it. OK that prolly made no sense but i keep thinking of different things to say, and before i say something potent ally ban worthy ill just stop my rambling now.

all i have to say is. don't. get a SUV or something good for all year round, and just wait till your 18-20 ish and then get a faster car, when you have experience. thats what I'm doing. getting a slow car (possibly wrangler) now and when i graduate high school, my dad will let me borrow money for almost anything, he knows i want to race ( legal of course ) and so he promised i can buy a supra or something then to fix up n **** and race. or when he puts a order in for a GTR... he will sell me the vette so i can have that to drive...

sorry for all that prolly not making any sense but i jus have so many things to say about this all i can prolly write a book.
