EVO X vs EVO IX, finally a test! MT

Wasn't EVO VI vs EVO VII kind of similar comparison when VII first came out? Same for EVO III vs EVO IV. It was more like a backward step until VIII and IX came out, so I guess performance-wise we won't see the new platform having clear edge until XI or XII.

With all that hype with that new s-awd and sst. The only thing they say is faster than two seconds against evo9 in their test lap. I think mitshu failed the potential first timer buyers and evo 9 owners to really give us an impressive numbers. Look at Nissan they did really improve GTR in all aspects 0 to 60, 1/4 mile, hp/torgue, cdrag, top speed. Nurburg time. Most of this new owners will race this car on red light, on straight and not on lap time. They already did 4.7 sec 0 to 60 why go back to 5 sec mark. Who needs luxury this car breed is performance. GTR did performance and luxury. Im just venting. You know what they should really do is beef up that hp/torque at least 320 to 350hp to compensate the wt added. I just don't get it. The only thing that is better ion that test is the useless braking and lateral g's, useless because it's better than a few points only and still slower in lap time. I just don't get it again. And the basic/ powertrain warranty sucks especially with the new unproven 5speed/sst dual clutch.

after looking at the specs, is any of this really a surprise??? it's clear the X hasn't gained enough power to overcome it's weight.
even a "healthy" Evo X won't beat the IX. it's pure physics. still a great car but not surprising... i wonder if anybody has the track layout of the mitsu proving grounds. are they simply lying or is the track somehow advantageous to the X???
on a similar note, the GT-R gained some 200 lbs but it also added about 150-200 more hp. of course it's a $70k car but you get the point.
hey that Concept RA is looking mighty promising...::slowly getting off the evo x bandwagon::

lol... your also roaming around here. i used to browse evo m and evo x at the same time.... so it's means jdm 9 and evo x should be at least equal. but the test shows the usdm is even faster than evo x, which is not right.
