Yeah that pic actually looks quite a bit better than the actual car.

I think the Evo X looks better though as far as something that looks nice driving down the street without screaming LOOK AT ME! Don't get me wrong, it's still saying it, just more nonchalant like.
hmm... compared to the STI? the evo X will definitely get MUCH more attention than the STI by just driving down the street. and if you think the evo X wont be attention grabbing; my 08 lancer gets a lotta looks!! and its just a lancer!! imagine combined with the exhaust tone from the X... definitely an attention grabber.

The new STi straight line performance on 91 octane matches an EVO 9 performance, but its seems to have better slalom numbers and stopping distance than the old STi even though its running worse tires. The new X will have major problems trying to win against it thats for sure.

Its 305HP and 290TQ but with a wider powerband since they started using Variable Timing on the intake and exhaust this time. I think STi major problem is the stock turbo they run on it... its too damn small. The big 16 G on the EVO is way better.

Its a single scroll IHI turbo...I don't know why they still use single scroll. Its not like its "cutting-edge" technology anymore.

I agree... The JDM version uses a twin scroll turbo with a 8k RPM redline. It also weighs 3200lbs which is awsome. In the middle east you have the choice to choose between the JDM 2.0 and the US spec STi. The 2.0 seems like the ideal choice for performance and modifications since its a closed deck.

Yep, we get heavier, watered down versions of performance cars here. It sucks. I mean, there is not really any way around the weight increase due to our safety regulations, but they don't have to give us crappier equipment. The U.S. is the largest vehicle market in the world...you'd think we would get more options, not less .

First ever Evo to be comprehensively beaten by a Subaru. And I'm not happy about it either, since I'm getting the X.
Ugh, I'm in the same boat. I finally switch camps and Mitsu might lose to Subaru for the first time ever, oh the irony...

I think we'll finally agree on something

It's a very sad day in -land when the Evo will now be outperformed by an STI for the first time

i've seen the EVO X...the front end looks amazing in person. The side profile is also good, but rear view looks pretty lame. I think the new subaru looks pretty darn aggressive in the pics.

I had an EVO X order, but after reading all these reviews and poor performance numbers, I quickly went back to the dealer to cancel my order.

Ah, don't worry about the rear end of the car. With how slow the Evo X is, noone will ever see the rear end

Anyone want to put money on the X? I'll give you 100:1 on it.
