Anybody post this yet?

Well Mitsubishi has announced that it will be pricing the latest iteration of the Lancer Evolution from $34,000, which will get you the GSR model with a five-speed manual. The top-o-da-line Lancer Evo MR that comes equipped with Mitsu's new six-speed dual clutch cog swapper will base at... gulp... $39,000. Inside Line reminds us that the previous Lancer Evo IX started at $28,679, which is a long way away from the new model's base price. Hopefully all that extra cash goes into making the Evo's interior better than the base Lancer's. Keep in mind, this is preliminary pricing, and Mitsubishi says that it hopes to reduce the price of each model by around $1,000 before they go on sale.

That is not to say that Mitsubishi could not delay the pricing announcement again. But this date was indicated 2-3 weeks ago.

I am buying one of this first shipment. It is supposed to be on the dock on the 24th or 26th of December and be delivered to him the first week of January. Worst case it should be at my dealer the second week of January

These are the latest rumor mill prices that have been around for a couple of weeks. Mitsubishi actually has told the press that it will be under that number but not by how much. They want to keep the actual numbers a surprise until it is officially anounced. Hopefully that will occur tomorrow as has been claimed.

can get a 335 sedan for the same money and same HP.

make a list of ppl who bought in the first 2 months and start PM them below invoice price soon.

(dun reply anything says 'You cant buy a stripped BMW or Good luck finding one that has no options' There re volume dealers that has a tons of those for BMW poor men )

My Mitsu... dealership owner friend says there will be no 0% or even 4.9% on the EVO-X like Mitsu had a month ago on the other models. Best I can find is about 6%, that will have to do. Will finance for 3 or 4 years.

Way too much money. The appeal of the Evo used to be the great price value vs. performance. Now it's just expensive. Almost $40k for an MR? Save up $5k more dollars and you can get a used awd 996 Turbo.

And BTW, let the price gouging begin: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EVOLU...QQcmdZViewItem

He's also claiming GSR+SSS has the FAST key, which is not what we've heard so far. They've also already sold a GSR with the navigation system, which it doesn't even seem is going to exist. What jerks.

Hurry up official information!

God I wish it could be 34k here in Canada...but 34k is less than a WRX with PDI & Freight

Again we're screwed and we're sick of the car industry in Canada...34k I think you guys are lucky...
