Evo X markup
The dealerships here and in Denver are putting an extra 5k on the Evo X!
I just talked to a sales guy in the Dallas area, and he said he's heard a ton of complaints about people flying to dealers in CA and then they add on a ton of other stuff and the price comes out the same anywhere.
Any recommendations/comments?

^Should be, but hell they can do whatever they want to make more money. Just something else to negotiate. They put that on there, then when you try to make a deal, they take some off to make it seem like they are working with you.
Beaverton Mitsubishi is funny. They always talk about "locking the market" and weird concepts like that. The truth is, they are doing the same thing they did when Evo VIII's first came on the market. Which is, charging stupid prices, not budging on them, and turning their business into an Evo COLLECTOR instead of DEALER. They'll never learn. There is nothing I'd like better than buying a trip to CA with the money I save and drive back to Oregon in style...Beaverton Mitsubishi and Premier Auto Group, along with Dick Hanna, can all lick sack...
At least you guys only pay $2,000.00 markup. Us here in Canada had a base price for the GSR at $43,000.00 even though the Canadian dollar is not that far from the US dollar. at least $9,000.00 markup.
Simple way to deal with markups. First step is to look at the list of dealers that are vendors on here. I have made a sticky at the top of this section. None of those dealers will be charging markups i believe, and most have discounts. We are also probably adding some east coat dealers here shortly.
If none near you, you explain what dealers on the west coast are offering the car for and that they will ship. You then say that you are reasonable and are willing to pay more for the convenience of not have to have a car shipped, but within reason. Even after shipping costs, you are still at or below MSRP. If they dont respond to that, they are not going to sell Evos on any noticeable scale.
