Unfortunately it has been raining all day today, so there has been no chance to get to the track. We will have 1/4 mile times as soon as we can though.

Optimizing air/fuel is a huge source of power for this car, and with the car having only a hair smaller turbo, mivec on both intake and exhaust it seems to spool at crazy low rpms. Dr smile and boostez and a couple more of you, you guys in particular are really hating on the x, and for what? So that you can feel like the 9 that you just bought a year ago is better? Look, if you don't like the x, then don't buy one. But for christ's sake, act like an adult and stop whining. I mean even after the car makes a huge gain in power you're like, "still sucks, my 9 blah blah." Then, agp says that the car is now making 330 whp on an intake, exhaust and boost controller! You then whine more saying,"well the ecu reflash won't do anything...blah blah wah wah." It's pathetic. Look, no one is contesting that the 9's block, being iron, can most likely handle more power than the evo x's aluminum block. However, the new motor is more advanced in spite of this and makes more power with the same mods, a lot more. I've never met anyone who contests facts. It's like saying that the sky isn't really blue, it's brown. WTF?! Look, your 9 is a great car, and for 1000hp applications it's the better choice. Dare I say up to the 600-700 mark, the evo x is the better choice. And to z1500 or whoever is tuning the x, info was released in japan that the x's ecu pulls throttle near redline or whenever boost spike is detected and that this is corrected with a reflash. Just in case you hadn't heard that yet, I figured I'd bring it up to help out. My .02. Incredible job so far, I will be buying some parts from you guys for my x when they are available. Let us know!
Nobody is really hating on anything in here. Most people are just bringin in factual informatio. Look at your username...you are obviosly one of the people that like the X. You don't even own an Evo so what do you know???? Remember these are JUST dyno numbers....that dont mean **** with so many varying dynos and numbers running around. If it has 350whp and runs 12.8 then I really wouldnt care if it had 400whp. Trust me I highly doubt this engine can hit 600-700hp as easy as a 4G63. This car will be a good sub 450whp car...after that some major altercations are needed (hint hint STI blocks)

No my friend you are wrong. People are bashing the car like crazy, even after great numbers are being posted. First it was wait till the car comes out to see the numbers, now its numbers dont mean anything, now its the block deal. Stop....right now. This is getting old, i have made numerous post ranting about this, but its really stupid. Since you already know so much about the block, and how much hp its going, going by your post of. "This car will be a good sub 450 whp car, and after that some major altercations are needed" You should know that Major altercatons will be aftermarket sleeves, which are already in the works. I dont get how people are actually giving out certain hp numbers that this block is going to take, no one has any idea, the hp figures arnt even close there. And fwi, its not hp/boost that blow up blocks, its det, and melt down. You could have a stock block 1000 hp 4g63, you could, it blow up the instant it had hardcore knock or full out det.

Rob evo, look at my post on evox, dyno dynamics always read in the 225 range for about 300 at the crank with an awd car. This is normal, and why the percentage loss theory of drivetrain loss isn't accurate. What matters are the gains obtained on the same dyno. For instance, 80 hp gained on one dyno is going to be 80 hp gained on another. It doesn't matter what the baseline numbers are, it just the gains. I keep trying to tell you this. Kevin from agp said the same thing. It's the gains that matter.

You never could trust Dynos Rob. Its just not really possible to mimic real world. Your best bet is to just pick a dyno and always tune on that dyno so you know what your differences are. This is pretty much a dead horse though and has been discussed a million times.
