I actually have some bad spots on my RA as well, 2011 with only 33k on it. It did have some paint work done on the right rear quarter panel that they did a good job on but they did not tape and cover the roof well and overspray from the clear got up there and its dull looking. Took it back to the Mitsubishi dealer where I bought it and they buffed the car but it looks the same on the roof. The other issues are the left rear quarter panel has a circular spot where the paint looks cracked. I questioned the dealer on this and he said it looks like it was egged by someone in the past and not washed off. The hood is chipping very easily, I notice more and more spots all the time. I got a quote from a shop where I live in Appleton for $800 to paint the front bumper, hood, roof and left quarter panel. I used to do bodywork and paint for a long time and if I had another car to drive, I would just repaint the entire car myself. Don't have a booth I could rent either.

So the evo x paint is as bad as evo 8. I'm thinking about 2015 and was curious what color holds up best?

I have a 2008 and haven't had any paint issues. I do know that the paint is extremely thin and a rock will easily chip away the paint. Wash, Clay, Wax helps maybe?

Yeah. Wash and clay to remove contaminants, wax/sealant to protect. I think the best thing to do is to keep it out of the elements for extended periods of time.... Park it in the garage.

The clear coat on the entire roof of my car is peeling off now. The good news is state farm just gave me a $7k check to fix the hail damage so I'm getting the whole thing repainted

Where did you buy the mud flaps?
Do you prefer Armor.... or OEM?
