I'm not sure about there being more Evo's on the road when the MR arrives... as I remember, the MR's are supposed to account for only 25% or so of total Evo X production, so with only about 500 Evo X in Canada this year, that's around 125 MR's only for the whole country...

I haven't had a problem with the notchy transmition, from what i've read, people who break there cars in hard don't see this at all with the evo, and thats what i did. I didn't baby the car while breaking it in. Redlined it the first KM of driving and couldn't be happier 2000 KM's later.

I`m afraid of taking mine off... i don`t want to see all the holes under it. I pried it open a bit and couldn`t see anything special but paint, no holes at all, then again i didn`t have the best view.

Regarding the paint chipping, have you noticed that it can be pretty bad in the front of the rear fender flares?
There's another post in the forum of a guy who did a generic mud flap install.
Also the dealer actually mentioned that with the first year of the normal Lancer, Mitsu actually had a those clear vinyl stone guard films for the rear fender. We're looking into whether those can still be obtained, cuz the current year Lancers apparently don't have it anymore.
As for Canadian owners, right now I think it's just three or four of us here in this thread, one in Vancouver, one in Edmonton, you in Toronto.

you have no idea how right you are! washing this car is EXTREMELY time consuming! it just gets dirty very naturally, and because there are so many nooks and crannies on the car, it takes an extra long time to wash everything. Just the front fenders, and the rear bumper with the diffuser. So much more surface area to wash!
